How is the Portland Experience cohort selected?

Each cohort is selected through a competitive application process, including an interview with a faculty panel. Once selected, the 2020 cohort will focus on application preparation, resumes, cover letters, networking and interview skills. Everyone selected will participate in a one-credit/weekend workshop during Spring term led by the program coordinator and PR faculty member Kelli Matthews.

What kind of internships might be available for the Summer 2020 cohort?

The Portland Experience has relationships with partners in advertising and public relations agencies and “legacy” media companies, but we can also open doors in digital agencies, content marketing, brand journalism, local and globally-focused nonprofits, technology companies, start-ups, social media, politics and government, sports and more.
